About us

We are Wilbert and Trond — two lifelong watersports enthusiasts with a shared goal: to create eyewear that performs reliably on the water.

Wilbert has been active in watersports since the age of seven. After many years of kitesurfing, windsurfing, and sailing, his eyes became increasingly sensitive to water, wind, and sun exposure. He tested many types of watersports eyewear, but the same challenges appeared repeatedly: fogging, glare, and water spray.

Trond has extensive experience in product development and brand building across multiple consumer categories, including footwear and apparel. Together, we combined practical watersports experience with professional product expertise.

This collaboration led to the creation of Hydroshades — eyewear developed by watersports users, tested in real conditions, and designed to support performance across all watersports.

Our goal was not to create just another pair of sunglasses, but to design eyewear that meets the demands we personally experienced on the water.
