Q: What makes Hydroshades different from regular sunglasses?
A: Hydroshades are designed in Norway specifically for watersports. They combine advanced lens technology with a floating strap, a custom-designed Water Guard that blocks water from entering your eyes, and the choice between Superhydrophobic (water-repelling) or Anti-Fog (fog-resistant) inner coatings.

Q: What lens options are available?
A: All Hydroshades feature polarized lenses (reducing glare on water), photochromic technology (adapts to light conditions), and 100% UV protection. You can choose between:

  • Superhydrophobic inside coating – best for warm climates.

  • Anti-Fog inside coating – best for colder conditions.

Q: Are Hydroshades suitable for all watersports?
A: Yes! They are tested for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, surfing, kayaking, wakeboarding, SUP, jet skiing, and whitewater rafting – and many athletes also use them for running, cycling, and winter sports.

Care & Maintenance

Q: How do I clean Hydroshades?
A:

  • Pro Anti-Fog models: Use the included Hydrocare spray – spray lightly on the inside, rinse with fresh water, and let air-dry. Avoid rubbing the inside of the lenses, as this may reduce the coating’s effect.

  • All other models: Wash gently with regular hand soap and lukewarm water, rinse, and let air-dry.

Q: Can I wipe the inside of the lenses?
A: We recommend not rubbing the inner coating, especially on the Anti-Fog version, as it may reduce effectiveness.

Q: Are Hydroshades scratch-resistant?
A: Yes, but like all performance eyewear, treat them with care and store in the included pouch when not in use.
