We’re Wilbert and Trond — two lifelong watersports riders who wanted eyewear that could finally keep up.

Wilbert has been on the water since he was 7 years old. After decades of kitesurfing, windsurfing, and sailing, his eyes became extra sensitive to water, wind, and sun. He tested every pair of watersports glasses he could find, but the same problems always returned: fogging, glare, spray.

Trond brings years of experience launching products, from footwear to apparel. Together, we combined rider insight with product know-how to create something new.

That’s how Hydroshades was born: eyewear designed by riders, tested in real wipeouts, and built for all watersports.

We didn’t just want another pair of shades — we wanted the ones we always wished existed. Now they do.
